Alicia Patiño is a maths teacher in winter and a night time photographer in summer. Two worlds that, at first glance, don't have much in common, yet she brings the same passion to both.
She grew up in the land of Don Quixote, and it was there that her brother Javi taught her to photograph the night sky, over 15 years ago now. She hasn't stopped since.
She's brought that passion to the Starlight-certified area of northern Córdoba, where she pursues starry night photography, searching out abandoned heritage sites and remote spots under skies free from light pollution. She also travels to other locations across Spain and beyond, always looking for the perfect corner to shoot.
But her camera isn't limited to the stars. Alicia also practices nature night photography, with a particular love for macro, and enjoys the technical challenge of high-speed and sports photography just as much. Her milky way night photography sits alongside portraits and sessions, mostly in natural settings, and every now and then she takes on a wedding too.
Curious to know a bit more about what I do? Whether you're thinking about booking a workshop (private, group, or family), a portrait session or any kind of event, or you just have questions about night photography, feel free to reach out. I love hearing from you and I'm happy to answer anything you'd like to know.
